Insulating concrete

Refractory concretes are non-combustible refractory materials and are applied to create monolithic linings for all types of furnaces, industrial boilers and kilns. The concretes consist of refractory fillers of suitable grain size (crushed stone) and aluminous cement. Types of refractory concrete:

  • Conventional concretes (1200°C to 1800°C).
  • Shamrock-based, hydraulically bonded concretes (1400°C).
  • Bauxite-based concrete (up to 1550°C).
  • Low-iron chamotte based concretes (1600°C).
  • Fused aggregate and chromium alumina concrete (1700°C)
  • Concrete based on pure oxide (1850°C).
