Ceramic insulation tape
Ceramic tape made of ceramic yarns is a lightweight, easy to install insulating material resistant to high temperatures (up to 800°C). It is used in single or multilayer weave, depending on its thickness. It is resistant to acids, grease, liquid aluminium and zinc and has good mechanical strength. Ceramic tape may be reinforced with a thin wire, i.e. inconel. It consists of an alloy of iron, chromium and nickel. Due to this, the tape is more thermally resistant and can operate at temperatures up to 1200°C. It is also possible to provide the tape with a self-adhesive layer.
